Equilibrium is the intersection of buyers and sellers. That is supply and demand together create the price and therefore help people make decisions on what they will buy. We also worked on shifting supply and demand and determining the impact it will have on prices and quantity.

4) Circular Flow
Markets are what coordinates buyers and sellers. It may be a physical location, but is more likely virtual.

Focused our attention on the Supply side of the equation today. We noted that the mechanics of Supply are the same as Demand, the difference is the concept. While it is easy to see how were are all active participants in Demand when we buy things, what is less familiar is our role in Supply when we provide things to the economy. What most people have to offer is labor in some way, but since we typically do not think of our labor in terms of Supply and Demand, it has been more abstract.


After looking at the PowerPoint about Supply, we went over the flowchart for figuring out which Determinant of Supply and may have begun filling in the chart for each Determinant and its impact on Supply.

We looked at last night's homework and the Shifting Demand Activity that required you to understand how demand would change and what was the reason (determinants of demand). A flowchart was provided that guides you through picking the correct determinant of demand, and a table with the rules of demand for each determinant was begun.
