1) Why Study Civics?


2) Political Parties
With your neighbor, share the "K" and "W" of the political parties that you worked on last night. Perhaps the "W" could be answered by your partner?

3) Structure of American Government
Board notes to outline the structure of the American government that illustrates Separation of Powers and Federalism.

4) Origins of Constitutional Principles and Rights
Of the 5 excerpts included in The Packet, read your assigned document looking for evidence of the Principles and Rights found on the chart near the back of the packet. Annotate your document for such evidence. Once this was completed, students met with other members of the class with that were assigned the same document to discuss their findings.

Class attended a brief assembly regarding the Code of Student Conduct
