The introduction to the film "Freakonomics" points out an important concept, people respond to incentives, and if you want them to respond in a certain way, you have to find the correct incentive.
3) Budgeting
After discussing the concepts in the Bell Ringer, we created a budget using the "Budget Blast" activity (pages 2-6 of this file, begin with "Step One" on page 4). The goal is to see how expensive something actually are and how the choices we make impact our savings and spending.
