Agenda
Periods 1&3
1) GDP
We looked at current GDP Data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis website.

2) Unemployment
Using Activity 16: Types of Unemployment, we learned about the different types of unemployment as well as the "Natural Rate of Unemployment." We also looked at the actual Unemployment Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics website and the Historic Natural Rate of Unemployment from the Federal Reserve website.

3) Labor-Management Relations
Labor is a factor of production so businesses sometimes treat their workers as just another commodity. How does this pan out in the movie? What does this movie show about labor unions?

Period 4
1) Supreme Court Cases
Work on cutting and pasting your charts in preparation for the Quiz on Thursday. Remember, if all your charts are completely cut and pasted you can use them on the quiz. If any of them are not completely cut and pasted, you will not be allowed to use any of them.

2) GDP
We looked at current GDP Data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis website.

Homework
All Classes
To prepare for Thursday's Quiz, Work on this set of Supreme Court Case Scenarios. This will not be collected, but we will go over them in class tomorrow so it will definitely be helpful if you had this prepared. Last thing you want is this quiz to bump you out of eligibility for Exam Exemptions!

QUIZ THURSDAY: SUPREME COURT CASES

  • Return your textbook any time! If you are done with it let me take it off your hands. Remember, any books or outstanding fines will prevent you from receiving your diploma in June, so you may as well get it taken care of!
  • Remember to turn in your permission form to leave campus early on exam days next week during finals to your 3rd period teacher! Even if you are exempt from exams, this semester's form will be used for second semester, so get it turned in just in case.
